Bienvenue sur le site des Chatteries Bengallys et Amourichat où nos chats sont élevés sans cages dans un environnement famillial.

Une description de chacune de ces races se trouve ci-dessous.

A description of each of those breeds is following below.

Le Bengal est issu du croisement entre le chat léopard d'Asie, le plus petit félin sauvage (ALC) et un chat domestique. Au fil des croisements, cela permit aux chatons de cette future grande race d'avoir un aspect sauvage tout en ayant un caractère docile et affectueux. C'est en 1986 que le Bengal fait son entrée officielle à la TICA (The International Cat Association).

Notre mission est de partager notre amour pour cette race et de la faire découvrir au plus grand nombre de personnes tout en offrant des chatons de qualité.

Ce qui nous a d'abord attiré vers le Bengal c'est son extraordinaire pelage qui est sans aucun doute vraiment unique avec son allure de léopard. Par la suite à force de les côtoyer, nous sommes tombés sous le charme de leur incroyable caractère. Ce sont de vrais clowns qui sont prêts à toutes les pitreries pour vous faire rire, en plus de vous rapporter une boule de papier que vous leur lancerez, ou encore de jouer avec vous sous la douche. Effectivement, le Bengal, comme son ancêtre, a conservé son affection pour l'eau. Intelligent, câlin, actif et très attaché à son maître, le Bengal saura prendre une place unique dans votre foyer !

Welcome on the Bengallys and Amourichat Cattery's website where our cats are raised without cages and in a family environment.

Bengal comes from the cross between the Asian Leopard Cat, the smallest wild feline (ALC) and a domestic cat. With this crossing, it allowed the kittens of this future great breed to have a wild aspect while having a docile and affectionate temperament. It was in 1986 that the Bengal made its official entry to TICA (The International Cats Association).

Our mission is to share our love for this breed and to make them discover to the people while offering high quality kittens.

What first attracted us to Bengal is the extraordinary coat which is undoubtedly truly unique with its leopard look. We felt under the charm of their incredible temperament too. They are real clowns who are ready for all the antics to make you laugh and smile, in addition to bringing you a ball that you throw them, or even play with you in the shower. Indeed, Bengal, like its ancestor, has retained its affection for water. Intelligent, cuddly, active and very attached to its master, Bengal will take a unique place in your home!

Oriental

Amourichat est une chatterie où nos Orientaux et nos Siamois sont élevés en milieu familial avec nos beaux chats de Bengal.
Dès leur naissance, nous commençons à socialiser avec eux pendant qu'ils sont avec leur mère dans la maternité. Après leur premier vaccin, ils seront libres d'aller partout dans la maison avec les autres chats ainsi que nos deux chiens, un Teckel et un Cavalier King Charles, dans le but d'obtenir la meilleure sociabilisation ainsi que des chats affectueux pour les gens qui vont les adopter plus tard. Cela est d'autant plus facile car c'est une caractéristique inhérente à la race, ils sont très attachés aux humains et sont des chats très colleux.

Nous travaillons avec des lignées de Grands Champions, Master Grands Champions et même de Suprêmes Master Grands Champions. Certains de nos reproducteurs ont été importés des États-Unis et différents pays d'Europe après avoir étudié leurs pedigrees, ceci afin d'éviter la consanguinité et les maladies héréditaires, question d'améliorer le standard de la race. Aux États-Unis, les Orientaux ont un beau corps ferme et long et en Europe, ils ont les oreilles plus larges à la base ainsi qu'un port d'oreilles plus bas. C’est pourquoi j’utilise ces deux types d’Orientaux.

Notre chatterie est enregistrée au CCC (Chats Canada Cats), TICA (The International Cat Association), CCA (Canadian Cats Association) ainsi qu' au CFA (Cat Fanciers Association).
Nous présentons donc nos chats en compétition dans ces diverses associations partout à travers le Canada ainsi qu'aux États-Unis afin de faire reconnaître nos chats ainsi que leur qualité et aussi pour être capable de se reférer au standard de la race.

Notre mission est de produire des Orientaux de grande qualité, très bien socialisés et en très bonne santé.

Amourichat is a cattery where our Orientals and Siamese are raised in a family environment with our beautiful Bengal cats. As soon as the kittens are born, we immediately begin to socialize with them while they are raised by their mothers in our nursery. After their first shot, they will be free to roam the house with the other cats and our two dogs, a Teckel and a Cavalier King Charles. This improves socialization and they become the most affectionate kittens for their future families. With Orientals in particular, it is so easy to socialize them because it is inherent to the breed.

We work with the lineage of Grand Champions, Master Grand Champions and also Supreme Master Grand Champions. Some of our studs and queens come from the USA and others from parts of Europe. This year we also expect to expand our lines with cats from New Zealand. In the USA it is common to see Orientals that are more slinky with a firm body; in Europe, the ears tend to be much bigger and lower than cats from the USA. Using cats from a variety of lines helps us to selectively pair our cats to strive to improve the quality of our lines compared to the breed standard. With every pairing, we check the pedigrees very carefully to ensure that there is a very low coefficient of inbreeding.

Our cattery is registered with the CCC (Chats Canada Cats), TICA (The International Cat Association), CCA (Canadian Cat Association), CFA (Cat Fanciers Association), We frequently present our cats at cat shows in all the above associations across Canada and United States. Exhibitors, attendees and the judges from many different associations are able to meet with us and compare our cats to the standard of the breed.
